Each of these new 2010 models is now powered by a new version of the highly-acclaimed 4-valve Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) boxer engine, previously only featured on the HP2 Sport. The new advanced engine management system has been optimised to meet the specific requirements of each of the motorcycles - the travel enduro riding style of the R 1200 GS range and the all-day, luxury touring use of the R 1200 RT. In addition, the R 1200 RT Tourer gains a new style fairing, new switches and controls, and the latest version of BMW’s unique Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA II) as an optional extra, further enhancing its reputation as a sophisticated high-mileage tourer. The new R 1200 RT, R 1200 GS and R 1200 GS Adventure are priced at £11,775, £9,925, £10,745 OTR respectively.
